The purpose of the Transportation Ministry is to provide needed transportation for the membership as well as other individuals in our community who wish to worship and fellowship with us. Driver(s) deliver passengers to the church by 9:30 a.m. and return them to their perspective homes after the 11:00 a.m. service. This allows persons to participate in both church school and worship services.
The Transportation Ministry also provides transportation for church-related outings such as evening programs at other churches and events sponsored by different ministries of the church.
Any use of the church van, whether scheduled or unscheduled, must be cleared by the Transportation Ministry. The following is a list of the information that is required:
- 1. location of function
- 2. driver
- 3. number of passengers
- 4. day/time needed (estimated time of departure and return)
- to show leadership through liberal giving;
- to be fervent in spirit serving the Lord;
- to be loyal and trustworthy to your fellowman; and
- to be responsible and accountable in business practices.
Whenever a ministry wants to secure the bus (that is, a 46 passenger bus) or van for an outing, the ministry head must contact the Transportation Ministry with all pertinent information. The Transportation Ministry will secure the bus or van for you.
