As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. - 1 Peter 4:9-10 The Hospitality Ministry (previously known as the Welcoming Ministry) has been a part of the Antioch Baptist Church since the beginning. The Late Reverend Fred X. Porter reorganized the ministry in 1974. The Ministry continues to grow in the attitude of humility, obedience, and spiritual maturity. The purpose of this Ministry is to win souls for Christ by making the members, friends, and visitors who enter the doors of the church feel welcome in the house of the Lord. This Ministry is ready to share the gospel with everyone. This Ministry, through the empowering of the Holy Spirit, equips us with ministry gifts to serve and edify the body of Christ. In service to our Lord and Savior, the Outreach Program (part of this Ministry) fellowships with two nursing homes, Grant Park and Carol Manor. We also host Family and Friends Day, most anniversaries and other occasions, to include the feed the hungry program, minister to the homeless in our area and visit the sick and shut-in.
