Contact Person: Linda Landy Feed the flock of God, care for it willingly, not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve the Lord. - I Peter 5:2 The purpose of this Ministry is to reach out to the community, in particular, those residents that are homebound, elderly, and handicapped or in need of food by providing nourishment for the body. The Far Northeast Meals on Wheels Program began in 1974 delivering meals to the far northeast residents. In 1987, the Food Bank started distributing emergency food packages to the community. The Self Help and Resource Exchange (SHARE) Program started in 1990 providing food packages to participants and registering them for community service. The Council of Churches or The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is also provided to the community. The goals of the Food Outreach Ministry are:
